Allergens

None

Ingredients

  • 8 oz grass
  • fed beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1
  • inch pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tsp arrowroot powder
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the coconut aminos and arrowroot powder until well combined. Set aside.
  2. Season the beef with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a large pan or wok over medium high heat. Add the beef and cook for 4 5 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the remaining avocado oil. Sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  5. Add the green beans to the pan and cook for 3 4 minutes, or until tender but still crisp.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the pan and pour in the coconut aminos mixture. Toss everything together, ensuring that all ingredients are evenly coated. Cook for an additional 2 3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve immediately, garnishing with fresh cilantro leaves (optional).

Chef’s Insight

The use of arrowroot powder as a thickening agent is a clever way to keep the recipe Paleo-compliant while still achieving that sought-after sauce consistency.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic and spices to suit your personal taste.
