  • 1. 2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined 2. 1 cup BBQ sauce (preferably homemade) 3. 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning 4. 1/4 cup unsalted butter 5. 1 tablespoon garlic, minced 6. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 7. 1/2 cup beer or chicken broth 8. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 9. 1/2 lemon, juiced 10. 3 green onions, thinly sliced 11. Fresh parsley, for garnish 12. Crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  2. Preheat a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Add butter and allow to melt.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  4. Stir in the BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, beer or chicken broth, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and remaining Cajun seasoning. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp to the skillet, stirring to coat them with the sauce. Cook for about 5 7 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions and fresh parsley, then serve immediately with crusty bread for dipping.
