Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the pork shoulder and barbecue sauce. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and pulls apart easily with a fork.
  2. Shred the cooked pork using two forks, then return it to the slow cooker to keep warm.
  3. For the Apple Onion Relish: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine apples, onions, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt. Cook until the apples are tender and the liquid has thickened, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. To assemble the sliders, spoon pulled pork onto the bottom half of each bun, then top with a generous dollop of Apple Onion Relish. Finish with the top half of the bun.
