Ingredients
- 3 lbs beef brisket
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 12 slider buns
Instructions
- Preheat your BBQ grill to medium high heat, around 350°F.
- In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Season the beef brisket with your choice of rub or spices, then place it on the preheated grill. Cook for 5 6 minutes per side until a crust forms.
- Reduce heat to low and pour half of the barbecue sauce mixture over the brisket. Cover and cook for about 1 hour, basting with sauce every 20 minutes.
- After an hour, flip the brisket and repeat the basting process for another hour or until the internal temperature reaches 200°F.
- Remove the brisket from the grill and let it rest for 15 20 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
- Heat the remaining sauce in a saucepan, then toss the sliced brisket in the sauce until well coated.
- Assemble your sliders by placing a portion of the brisket on each bun and serving with extra sauce on the side.
Chef’s Insight
For an extra smoky flavor, consider using a wood chip, such as hickory, to infuse your grill.
Notes
Be sure to use a meat thermometer to ensure the brisket reaches the proper temperature.
