Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef brisket
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 12 slider buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat your BBQ grill to medium high heat, around 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  3. Season the beef brisket with your choice of rub or spices, then place it on the preheated grill. Cook for 5 6 minutes per side until a crust forms.
  4. Reduce heat to low and pour half of the barbecue sauce mixture over the brisket. Cover and cook for about 1 hour, basting with sauce every 20 minutes.
  5. After an hour, flip the brisket and repeat the basting process for another hour or until the internal temperature reaches 200°F.
  6. Remove the brisket from the grill and let it rest for 15 20 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
  7. Heat the remaining sauce in a saucepan, then toss the sliced brisket in the sauce until well coated.
  8. Assemble your sliders by placing a portion of the brisket on each bun and serving with extra sauce on the side.

Chef’s Insight

For an extra smoky flavor, consider using a wood chip, such as hickory, to infuse your grill.
