Ingredients

  • 400g lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 slices white bread, soaked in milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 Tbsp raisins
  • 2 Tbsp apricot jam
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 cup store
  • bought apricot chutney

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onions, garlic, and spices, stirring frequently. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes. In a separate bowl, combine the soaked bread, egg, raisins, apricot jam, milk, salt, and pepper. Add the bread mixture to the meat mixture, and mix well. Shape the meat mixture into 4 patties.
