Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
