  • purpose flour
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 4 cups canola oil for frying

  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the canola oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 350°F (175°C). In a shallow dish, mix flour with seasonings. In another shallow dish, pour buttermilk. Dip shrimp into flour mixture, then buttermilk, and finally into panko breadcrumbs, pressing to adhere. Fry 4 5 skewers at a time for 2 3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with tangy dipping sauce.
