  • 2 lbs ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 large white onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store

  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the grill for direct cooking over high heat (approximately 450Β°F).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, and garlic. Mix well and shape into 6 patties.
  3. Season both sides of each patty with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Place patties on the grill and cook for 3 minutes per side or until desired doneness is reached. During the last minute of cooking, brush both sides of the patties with BBQ sauce.
  5. In the final minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese on top of each patty to melt.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill cut side down for 30 seconds or until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun, followed by crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions. Top with the remaining half of the buns.
