Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1/4 cup sriracha
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey with the firecracker sauce ingredients. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add the seasoned meat and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking up any clumps. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas in the microwave for 20 seconds or on a grill for 15 20 seconds per side.
  4. Assemble the tacos by placing a spoonful of seasoned meat onto each tortilla, topping with shredded cabbage, avocado slices, and garnishing with cilantro leaves and chopped green onions. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
