  • 16 oz firm tofu, cut into 1
  • inch cubes 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp rice vinegar 1 tsp sesame oil 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 12 wooden skewers Smoky Peanut Sauce: 1/2 cup natural peanut butter 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp rice vinegar 1 tbsp maple syrup 1/2 tsp smoked paprika 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Add the tofu cubes and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium high heat. Thread 4 tofu cubes onto each skewer and discard the skewers' bottom ends.
  3. Grill the skewers for 3 4 minutes per side, until the tofu is golden brown and slightly charred.
  4. For the Smoky Peanut Sauce, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, and warm water in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Serve the skewers with the Smoky Peanut Sauce on the side for dipping.
