Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt until smooth. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Set aside to cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut phyllo dough into 4 equal parts. Place one part on a parchment lined baking sheet, layer with half of the chopped nuts, and brush lightly with melted butter. Repeat with remaining dough and nuts.
  3. Bake for 10 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Break into bite sized pieces.
  4. To assemble, pour cooled milk pudding into serving glasses, leaving a little space at the top. Crumble phyllo dough over pudding, then drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon. Repeat layers if desired.
