  • 1 cup walnuts, 1 cup almonds, 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon cloves, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 1 cup phyllo dough sheets, 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 2 cups heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F. Chop walnuts and almonds finely. In a saucepan, combine honey, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, cooking on low heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Set aside. Brush melted butter onto each phyllo sheet and stack them in layers. Cut into 2x2 inch squares. In a bowl, mix nuts with honey syrup. Place one square of phyllo at the bottom of a mini muffin tin and fill it with nut mixture. Repeat for all holes. Bake for 15 20 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until bubbles form around the edge. Pour over cooled Baklava Truffles to create a rich ganache. Refrigerate until set. Sprinkle with crushed pistachios before serving.
