Wooden skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the honey chili glaze. Set aside.
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium high heat. Season pork belly cubes with salt and pepper.
Thread 4 5 pork belly cubes onto each skewer, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
Grill skewers for 2 minutes per side, basting frequently with honey chili glaze. The pork should be slightly charred on the outside while remaining tender on the inside.
Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Chefβs Insight
Allow the pork belly to rest after grilling to ensure it retains its tender texture. This also allows the flavors to meld together even more.
Notes
Adjust the heat level of the honey-chili glaze to your preference by increasing or decreasing the amount of sriracha sauce used.
