Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh or frozen sakura petals (preferably organic)
- 2 cups sparkling water
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 3 tablespoons honey, plus more to taste
- A pinch of sea salt
- Ice cubes
- Fresh cherries and sakura petals for garnish
Instructions
- In a large jar or heatproof bowl, combine the sakura petals and honey. Pour in 1 cup of boiling water over the mixture, ensuring all petals are submerged. Cover and let it steep for 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the petals to release their essence.
- Strain the infused liquid through a fine mesh sieve into a clean jar or container, pressing on the petals to extract as much flavor as possible. Discard the spent petals.
- In a large pitcher, combine the infused sakura water with coconut milk and a pinch of sea salt. Stir gently until well mixed. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey.
- Fill six glasses halfway with ice cubes and pour the sakura coconut mixture over them, leaving room for expansion. Top each glass with a splash of sparkling water to create a light, frothy texture.
- Garnish with fresh cherries and a few sakura petals suspended on a cocktail pick or skewer. Serve immediately and enjoy the enchanting symphony of flavors.
