  • 1 lb. Phyllo Dough 1 cup Unsalted Butter, melted 2 cups Coarsely Chopped Pistachios 2 cups Coarsely Chopped Walnuts 1 cup Granulated Sugar 1 cup Water 1 tbsp Lemon Juice 1 tsp Orange Blossom Water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Unroll phyllo dough and place a piece of plastic wrap over it to keep from drying out.
  3. Layer 12 sheets of phyllo on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish, brushing each sheet with butter and sprinkling nuts in between.
  4. Repeat steps 3 4 for a total of 8 layers.
  5. Combine sugar, water, lemon juice, and orange blossom water in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  6. Once syrup thickens, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  7. Bake phyllo in the preheated oven for 25 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and immediately pour cooled syrup over baked phyllo.
  9. Allow dessert to cool completely before cutting into squares.
