Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup water, 2 cups chopped mixed nuts, 3 tbsp vegan butter, 40 g cornstarch, 1/2 cup rosewater, 1/4 cup orange blossom water, red food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Cook until sugar dissolves, then increase heat to high and boil without stirring until it reaches the hard ball stage (250Β°F). In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water set aside. Add nut mixture and vegan butter to the saucepan, stirring constantly until well combined. Gradually add cornstarch mixture into sugar mixture, continuing to stir until smooth and glossy. Remove from heat and stir in rosewater and orange blossom water. Add food coloring and mix until desired shade is achieved. Allow mixture to cool slightly before shaping into bite sized pieces.
