  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1 cup guava paste, diced
  • 3 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the gluten free flour, Gouda cheese, cream cheese, egg, sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined and form a soft dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 20 equal parts and roll each piece into a thin tube shape.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Brush each tube with melted butter, then twist gently to create the classic Tequeno shape. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 18 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow them to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine guava paste and water over low heat. Stir until smooth and warm.
  7. Serve Tequenos warm with the guava dip on the side.
