  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 2 tbsp sakura flowers, dried and crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8 inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Sift in flour and salt, then gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture.
  4. Divide batter evenly between two bowls. In one bowl, mix in matcha powder with milk in the other, combine heavy cream and crushed sakura flowers.
  5. Pour each flavored batter into separate pans and bake for 20 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow cakes to cool completely before removing from pans.
